Swimming at Grandpa's

We tried this swimming thing again and let me tell ya...HE LOVED IT!!! The last time we went he screamed pretty much the whole time. He had so much fun in his turtle,splishing and splashing. Drying off and running around naked! Once we got inside he decided he would climb up their stairs...this is new folks!!!
I'm so glad we get the chance to go to my dad's to visit and get a little sun!
Thanks dad, we'll be back next week :)

Zoo Trip

With the weather a little cooler this week, we were very excited. So we took advantage of it and headed to the Zoo! Mandy and Liam came with us, so that made it even more fun! The boys did great, Liam fell asleep for some of it,we stopped to eat lunch (these boys LOVE to eat). I forgot Owie's sippy cup in the car,so I bought him one of those zoo animal cups with fruit punch in it...HE LOVED IT!
It was a beautiful day and a great time with friends! We love spending time with Mandy and Liam!! And Owie gave Liam hugs to say "thanks" for coming!!!

MY BIG BOY

It was about that time to get Owie's first haircut! Blake and I didn't want to do it, we LOVED his curls but it was just getting too long, shaggy and ratty. I took him to this fun place called Snipits just for kids! He didn't like it when the lady sprayed water on his head so he screamed and wiggled. I'm glad she knew what she was doing. I was so afraid of doing it myself. Thank you for Snipits! :)

I was sad to see him go from a baby to a big boy but it's just something that had to be done. So enjoy the before,during and after pics!

Happy 4th

We had a great weekend for the 4th! It was filled with family and friends! Blake was off work for the 4th,which we weren't to sure about earlier that week. We woke up Saturday morning and found a parade. I really wanted to take Owen to a parade, so we went and when we got there found out it was one you walk in yourself. There were bikes, wagons,tricycles, joggers, dogs...and everything was so patriotic! We will decorate Owen's wagon and pull him next year! He just watched all the chaos and waved bye bye.

That afternoon Owen and I went up to my dad's to swim. He still isn't a big fan of the pool,but he finally got in it. Owen played ball with my dad so I could enjoy the pool and then we had a little picnic on the side of the pool...IN THE RAIN! It was fun. We had cheerios,grapes and watermelon!!! Yummy!

That evening we were suppose to go watch the fireworks, but it got rained out. So they put them on Sunday evening which was even better, the weather was perfect.Owen did pretty good even if it was around bed time.

Ok so I found this website for FREE FONTS so I've been playing around with it. So sorry that my blog is blah right now. I'm working on fixing it and brightening it up! In the mean time go visit Kevin and Amanda for their fonts. You can even send in your handwriting and they will turn it into a font.

Happy 2nd Anniversary

Can't believe it's already been 2 years! I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and father to our son. He is the love of my life and can't imagine my life without him!

Splash Pad

Last Thursday I met my friend Miranda and her girls at the Splash Pad in Norman. I was nervous about how Owen would react,because he's not a fan of swimming. Miranda and I traded turns getting him to in the water...didn't work :)

We will go and try it again!

A little summer update

Well I thought I should post of few pics, i've been a little behind. Not much has been going on. We are just trying to stay cool! Owen has been doing a lot of silly things these days.We are just amazed at how smart he is at just 13 months old! He's growing so fast and loving to spend my days with him! We spent Father's Day out at Blake's parents, and Blake's cousin is getting married next weekend and she had her Bachelorette party last weekend, we had a lot of fun! Thanks to Romeo (our waiter) :) Recently Owen has been falling asleep on our basket of blankets. It's been pretty funny that past few nights! And finally Owen was in his bedroom playing and I heard him getting fussy, well when I went in to check on him...HE HAD CLIMBED IN HIS TOY BOX!!!
