Savannah and Owen

This sweet girl and her mom came up from Dallas just for Owen's birthday! What a great friend. Bethany and I have been apart of each others lives since 2nd grade so needless to say we've been thru a lot. And to have kids close in age is so much fun. Going thru life as mommies together is a blast. Thank you Bethany for coming and helping us celebrate! We love you so much and thankful for your friendship.

First Birthday Festivities

Last weekend was Owen's 1st birthday. Where does the time go? It makes me sad that my baby isn't a baby anymore,but yet a toddler. We have been blessed with the greatest year with Owen.What did we do before him? We laugh more, love more and enjoy life more. I could sit and watch him play, talk to himself, laugh, run around and just be silly. I am one lucky momma!
Owen is truly loved. We had a fun filled weekend with friends and family. Grammee came into town on Friday for cake and pizza, it was so nice to have her hear. Sunday we went to Reaves Park(THANK YOU LORD FOR GORGEOUS WEATHER...after the weeks of rain,this momma was nervous) we had a good turn out and Owen had a blast just running around and playing with friends. To those who couldn't make it, we missed you but thanks for sending your wishes for Owen. There were so many pictures so I decided to do a slideshow instead of putting TONS of pics!

Where does the time go? Our little family of 3 started off May 15,2008 at 1:48pm. We have had the greatest year with Owen. It's funny how a a baby can teach you many things and steal your heart. He is the love of our lives and don't know what we did before him. Owen has been blessed by so many people in his life! And we are so excited about this weekend of celebrating his life with family and friends.

This cute little girl Mallory came over yesterday to play.

Mallory is Owen's cousin(Blake's cousins daughter).
Owen and Mallory always have such a fun time together. They are about 5 months apart.
We are ready for the rain to stop and summer to be here so Mallory's sister Macy can come play!

29 will be just fine

Well today I became one more year closer to 30 and it doesn't phase me a bit.
I can't wait till next year because i'm planning on a fun trip, but to celebrate today Pops and Gigi came to pick up Owen and I spent the day with friends. We chowed down on breadsticks at Olive Garden then we just played at Hobby Lobby and the Mall! Thank you girls! After that I went to pick Owen up and we went to my dad & Cheryl's for dinner. They decorated for this occasion :)
After that I took Owen back to Pops and Gigi's(he's spending the night). I'm excited to have a night of sleep but I sure do miss him. This is the 2nd time i've had a night away from him and it's so quiet around here. So to end the festivities Blake and I went to the Casino...wishing for a good turn out. Gymboree

This past Monday was the first time Owen started Gymboree
(thanks to Grammee, that's her big birthday present for him).
I wasn't able to take pictures because he was all over the place and it was nuts.
So we went to the Open Play on Friday and there was only 3 other kiddos and Owen had a ball.
He loved the shakers and the tunnel. I really hope he enjoys it and we both make some friends!
